We traveled from San Francisco to Taipei at the end of March 2014.
Michael randomly roamed around Taipei looking for breakfast and stumbled upon Taipei 101.
Michael’s cousins took us to some great places for lunch. We visited 三井 for the first time.
One of Victoria’s favorite parts of coming back to Taipei is the night market. Victoria’s mom was a ninja when it came to maneuvering the lines for street food. Pan-fried pork buns and grilled corn on the cob — yummy!
Michael met Victoria’s grandparents and maternal side of the family for the first time. Victoria was glad to see Grandpa and Grandma doing well. We had fantastic Taiwanese food at 欣葉 (信義新天地 A9 branch), then went to Grandpa/Grandma’s house.
Victoria got fitted for new glasses from Mr. Lee, who has been the Liang Family optician for the last 30 years.

Dinner and then a heaping bowl of mango shaved ice afterwards.
We had jet lag and went for a walk early in the morning around Taipei 101 and Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall.
We went with Michael’s parents to visit Michael’s aunt and uncle. We had bubble tea at 春水堂 and a unique experience eating a strawberry ice cream block at Miyahara.
Our last meal in Taiwan was dinner with Victoria’s parents and grandparents at 1010湘辣料理 (信義誠品書店 branch), featuring some delicious twists on Hunan cuisine.
Michael walked by an outdoor basketball court sponsored by Adidas on his way home from dinner.
Different shots of Taipei 101 during our trip.
Pandas everywhere.
